Met with our SS and not looking good for getting keys on 10 March. What is the hold up. Shower screens for the upstairs bathrooms. They still have not been delivered, our SS has been on to Stegbar. So we can't get the inspection from Local (our private Certifier) or Tyrells until that is installed.
Concreting to extend the slab for rainwater tank and air-conditioning should have happened today but it has been pouring down rain. They started to install the termite reticulation system but that had to stop due to wet weather.
Hopefully next week the following will happen:
Monday - termite reticulation and extension of concrete slab (depending on weather), window clean
Tuesday - tiler to finish downstairs flooring to meet with bamboo flooring and finish under the stairs. He will also replace the kitchen splash back - not sure about alfresco area -maybe he will do that later.
Preparation of driveway should also happen and hopefully we will have shower screens and 1 mirror.
After moving to Newcastle from Sydney in 2012 we decided to take the plunge and build our dream home. We are a family of six and after countless trips to display homes, a modified version of the Heathcote 35 was the perfect choice. Now the fun begins.....

AND WE MAY HAVE THE KEYS IN THREE WEEKS (10/3)
Met with our SS on Monday and he said PCI may happen in two weeks (3/3/14) and the keys the following Monday (10/3/98). This is dependent on the weather next week when our driveway is scheduled to be poured.
Funny, first day Eden Brae were on site was my second son's birthday and we may get the keys on the my eldest son's birthday.
Here are some pics from the other day:
Still waiting for two shower screens, one mirror for main bathroom, carpet will be done next Tuesday and will have to ask our supervisor about skirting boards as I still think they are tacked on after the floorboards. Our kitchen splash back is to be redone as there was a design issue with our window and selection of mosaic tiles. Not happy with the way it turned out but hopefully it will be fixed before we move in.

Here are some pics from the other day:
Bedroom 5 bamboo flooring
Kitchen with splash back which will be changed
Bamboo flooring - multi room
New kitchen splash back - 600 x 600 porcelain against existing splash back - which one do you prefer - either you like the mosaic tiles or you hate it. Everyone seems to have their own opinion. I personally don't like it.
Bamboo flooring view of stairs
Ensuite - all mopped and cleaned but still waiting for SHOWER SCREEN
Main bathroom vanity - will be adding feature tile post handover
Still waiting for mirror - incorrect size delivered
View of multi - photo taken from upstairs

It's getting closer!!!!
It's all starting to come together. Tilers were here today tiling the downstairs living/kitchen/dining area and the kitchen splash back. Timber flooring should be happening soon.
In the past week a few things have been happened
Electrical fitout (light switches, power points, data, down lights)
Airconditioning unit
Bath and taps installed for bathrooms, laundry and kitchen
Sink installed
Cupboard fitouts
Stairs have been stained but not happy with the finish. Seems like they will do another coat however still trying to get information from our supervisor whether they will be using a semi gloss or gloss. At the moment the timber looks really grainy and there seems to have been a mixup with Home Option Gallery. We requested a gloss finish like our front door and they noted on the colour selection sheet semi gloss.
Also waiting for our shower screens which have been ordered but somehow are not onsite.
I will try to take some photos in the next few days as we are now getting quotes for timber shutters, blinds, landscaping and pool. Hope we don't blow our budget. Not look forward to our blind/shutter cost and the landscaping quote was quite a shock!!!! The landscaping quote included coping around the pool (thinking of travertine pavers 400x400), retaining wall (which apparently will go all the way to the back of the fence), colour concrete around the pool area and to the alfresco area. Thinking of getting our alfresco paved in the same travertine pavers as the coping, or possibly going back to Di Lorenzo and see if they have an external tile to match our indoor Stone Smooth tile. The landscaper will also use some of the fill from the pool for the side of the house and level out the back ready for turf laying later.
The pool is from Barrier Reef Pools - Sahara pool 7.4m x 3.4m .

NOW THE BIG QUESTION. Where are going to getting the keys? The is the one answer our Supervisor does not want to give me yet!
